Typical winter pattern set the pace for this week. Water conditions varied from good to nasty but catches were on the slim side. The water temperature remained below 60 degrees all week and was below 58 this morning. Squid catches were good part of the week before the wind and rains. George sent me a picture of one of the better size ones he decked.
Red Drum teased anglers but for the most part, had lock jaw. Jim was the lucky angler that got hit. It would be his first “Bull” and made his week. Casey locked heads with another one only to loose it to the pilings. Geo was shopping for Sheepshead with live Fiddler Crab. After several rejections by the finicky convicts, he managed to get a hook in one. In other action, Casey was jigging for squid when he got an unusual bump. Seconds later he reeled a keeper Flounder onto the pier.

Yesterday and Today the water was trashed and the air was chrisp. I saw no fish come over the rail. Tomorrow’s forecast is for 98% rain with wind and cold air Friday. Here we go again…
Water temperature: 57-59
