Thursday 19th: water temp 62.2 NNE 6-8mph in the a.m. / 63.9 W 11-13mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Rob D. got one Pompano in the early morning and another about noon. Griffin got a small Spanish Mackerel and there were a few Bluefish caught. Squid were caught all day.


Friday: water temp 62.6 NNE 6-7mph in the a.m. / 65.8 WSW 9-13mph in the p.m. Squid were caught all day. Brenda filled her bucket early morning. Kark and his son Koyce caught the only fish for the day. Koyce landed this huge “Big Ugly” Black Drum. Karl hooked two Pompano and decked one.

 

 


 

Saturday: water temp 65.1 W 11-13mph in the a.m. / 67.5 WSW 8-11mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Squid were caught.


Sunday: water temp 66.0 W 6-8mph in the a.m. / 68.4 SW 6-8mph wind in the p.m. The water was crystal clear. A small Shark and Squid were caught.


Monday: water temp 66.2 W 9-13mph in the a.m. / 69.1 W 12-15mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Tom C. caught a Pompano early in the morning, blindly jigging. T.J. hooked a solo, Jack Crevalle in the shallows but lost it in the pilings. There were Squid caught throughout the day.


Tuesday: water temp 65.8 NNE 6-10mph in the a.m. / 67.1 SSW 5-10mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Rob D, caught 4 Pompano, 2 on a jig and 2 on set rods with Ghost Shrimp. A visiting angler got a small Flounder.  Four Spanish Mackerel were caught. Squid were caught all morning and again late afternoon and evening. Ivan, Brenda, and Kim caught big ones. Then Brenda had a great meal of fresh Calamari.

 

 


 

 

 

Wednesday 25th: water temp 66.9 ESE 7-13mph in the a.m. / 6?.1 NNE 4-9mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were lots of Squid caught and quite a few were large like this one Quang caught. Several anglers took home over a gallon each. There was a decent Pompano bite with 7 hitting the deck. All were on jigs with the set rods coming up empty.


Red Tide status: INorthwest Florida over the past week, K. brevis was not observed in samples collected statewide over the past week.
