Hot air and warm water set the tone for a slow King bite for most of the week. Bonita came in a couple of days and the Tarpon bite continues to improve. The water clarity is good and bait has ny werebeen plentiful. Rail space has been limited especially on the weekends. Traffic getting to and from the pier has been a challenge. Traffic on the pier was not much better as you can see in this shot from the pier cameras taken 06-28-20 at 07:15 a.m.
The King bite has been disappointing. Very early mornings and late afternoons which were the best time to soak a bait or cast your favorite lure. A couple of afternoons the bite turned on with a majority of fish 12 pounds and smaller. Yesterday evening there were a number of tiny fish hooked on X-Raps. Many were below the 24 inch minimum. Billy and Mikel hold Kings they decked this week.

A few Spanish ans Bonita were mixed with the Kings. This morning the Bonita bite was much better with several decked before lunch. Sizes ranged from around 3 to 8 pounds. Most were caught on lures but a few hit live bait.
The Tarpon bite continues to improve with good numbers of bites and hook-ups. Several have been brought to the pier before release. Large swim bait have been the prime choice to get a bite.
Skinny water has been hot so the bite there is limited to early morning or evenings. A few Red Drum and a couple of Pompano did make their way onto the deck.
