Thanks to Hurricane Sally, the water has been completely blown out and nasty. By Tuesday afternoon the shallows were still very nasty but the water off the end had begun to clear. Even though it was mostly clear, it was still dark like strong coffee. Lots of Ladyfish, Pin fish, Alewives, Leatherjacket fish and a few Juvenile Jack Crevalle were caught all week. Spanish Mackerel were caught in decent numbers with the best results on Gotcha lures. Large Sabikis also produced a few fish. Brenda said she had to work hard for her catch but managed enough for a big meal. Tuesday afternoon I saw a tiny (24-26 inches) King decked on a X-Rap. Several species of Jellyfish were thick. The water temperature has cooled several degrees and we are forecast to have cool nights and rain for Thursday and Friday. The predicted winds are 15-20 knots out of the Southeast for the next couple of days. Fall has begun.
