Our water quality continues to be green and silty. Bait is hit and miss but mostly miss. There have been a few Cigar minnows, Threadfin Herring and Alewives. The slim King bite has been very early mornings. Spanish have been slow but more bites early and late day. A few Flounder were caught in skinny water with live Bull minnows. Octopus are moving in and 5 were caught one day. Bluefish, Ladyfish, and a few Bonita have been decked. One legal Pompano was caught by Paul C.
King Mackerel anglers have had their patience tested all week. The bite has been few and you needed to be there by first light. There were more bites than hook-ups but the numbers were not what we should be seeing now. The big fish for the week was probably 12 pounds with most fish under 10. X-Raps out-performed bait. I only got a photo of the one Hachid caught. It was probably one of the larger ones decked.
Saturday saw the most bites with larger Spanish mixed in with the Kings. Bonita were in as well. George got 3 of them and one other was caught.
Von C. made the trip down from Georgia to be shut out on Kings. However, he did manage to get one of the better Flounder that were caught. Several other keepers hit the deck over the weekend.
Water temperature: 76-79
