Memorial Day week and weekend was super crowded both on the pier and in traffic. The number of people on the pier was unbelievable. However, the number of fish caught was very few unless you were targeting Ladyfish and Hardtails. The water conditions and temperatures were good and there was bait around. We had Cigar Minnows, Threadfin Hearing, Alewives and Goggle Eyes. You would have thought fish would have been chewing.

Hunter made his trip worth it by decking the first Mahi for the year. Then he got another “chicken” later in the weekend. Kings were few and small. Hachid and Dylan each got at least one King. Spanish were caught but in small numbers.

The remainder of the week was painfully slow. “Flipper” was a constant presence.
Water temperature: 78-80
