Water conditions started great but “Claudette” put an end to that by the weekend. Heavy rain and strong wind stayed with us all weekend and into Tuesday leaving the water rough and stained. Again this week there were no King Mackerel and only a few Spanish Mackerel. The only fish that were plentiful were Hardtails and Ladyfish. A few sharks (a couple over 5 feet) were hooked with some of the smaller ones decked. Over the weekend, with the dirty water, we had catfish. Alewives continue to school around the pier.
The only other catches were Tarpon and only a couple were brought all the way back to the pier. Several were hooked briefly with exciting jumps to keep us interested. Large swim baits produced more strikes than bait. Today, Hobie was one of the anglers that brought his Tarpon back pier side before releasing it.

Water temperature: 78-82
