Our water has been beautiful and clear. The water temperature fluctuated between 65 and 66. Fish and Bait have been scarce. A few Bonita and Flounder were caught along with a lonely Red Drum. Bluefish were around daily. A few Sheepshead and Pompano were passing in the shallows but had no interest in eating. The last couple of days a few Whiting have been in the very skinny water close to the beach but you needed to wait until almost sunset to get them.
Bonita were teasing us all week staying too far off the end of the pier to reach. A couple of early mornings, a few came in close enough to cast to. The opportunity was a short window but a few anglers were there and made it count. George and Brenda had fun Saturday morning and put a few on the deck.

A few Flounder are still around but the bite is s l o w. At least a dozen hit the deck during the week but only two or three were big enough to make the new minimum of 14 inches. Bull minnows on a Carolina rig got the most action.
Other action included an over-slot Red Drum caught by a visiting angler on a Gotcha. A couple of Octopus also made it onto the pier.
