Merry Christmas From The Pier

2021/12/23

Our water has been beautiful and clear until this morning. The water temperature increased to almost 68 the first half of the week then the cold air hit and we were down to 63.0 this morning. We are in that time of year where the bite is slow and scattered. A few Flounder hit the deck. Bluefish were around almost every day. A couple of Pompano were caught today. Whiting have been in the very skinny water close to the beach but were mostly small.

Leave it to Brenda to find the only Spanish within ten miles. She has a horseshoe implanted somewhere. She decked a 3.4 pounder Saturday morning.

There were still a few Flounder hanging around but you had to work for them and be patient. Danny and I managed to get keepers  Saturday and Tuesday. Live Bull minnows got the bite.
