We had sad news this morning, 03-23-2022. Paul Clark, a member of our extended Pier family, passed away this morning at Bay Medical. Paul, from Cleveland, TN, was a long time friend among many anglers and an avid story teller. His presence, wit and company will be sorely missed. Paul will be returned to TN for services with his family and friends. A local service will be planned for his friends here soon. Rest in peace Paul Clark.

GOOD LUCK!
Fishing improved through the week with great water quality. Yesterday,Tuesday, ushered in the next weather front that brought strong winds and rough water. Conditions deteriorated and by Wednesday morning the water was blown out. However, before the blow we caught a variety of fish. There were Blackfin Tuna, Kings, Spanish, Sheepshead, Red Drum, Pompano and Rabbit fish.
Tommy and Danny got things hopping Friday morning when they hooked and decked back to back Blackfin Tuna. These would be the first BFT caught in over 3 years on the County. The fish blew up unexpectedly and ate Colt Sniper lures. Congrats for a fish of a lifetime off the pier.

Saturday the Pompano were cooperating and several hit the deck. Most bites were on a jig but a couple were caught on set lines with Sand Fleas. Willy and Brenda each got a nice one.

Sunday morning there were huge Sheepshead everywhere. Several were caught using live shrimp and Ghost shrimp. Brenda missed several before decking one. Brandon landed a 6 pound fish.
Tuesday morning the wind was howling and the Kings showed. Several fish were missed bit two nice ones hit the deck. Jimmy from Birmingham got a 25 pounder floating a bait under a bubble. Then Casey got hit on his lure and decked his 26 pound King. The bite cooled and no other Kings were caught the remainder of the day.

Spanish Mackerel have been caught several days. Monday and Tuesday they were here in good numbers, Several anglers put multiple fish in their coolers. Most fish were small but legal.Brenda got one of the bigger ones that was caught.
Cobia guys were out in force hoping to land the first fish off the County. No fish were hooked but the Rabbit fish kept them entertained. There were multiple ones caught daily. Carlos shows one he got.
