All About The Weather

2023/06/22

This week’s report is short as there was not much action to report. The weather has been a big factor in our fishing the past 7 days with rain, thunderstorms, and wind. The water quality has suffered and has been a mix of dirty and almost clean. The water temperature has ranged from 79.2 to 82.9 degrees depending on the time of day. Fishing has definitely been a challenge. The King Mackerel bite has been absent. The only game in town was Hardtails and ladyfish with a few small Spanish Mackerel mixed in.  Big Sabiki rigs were the most popular set ups to catch fish.

Daily activity:

Thursday: water temp 80.8 – 82.9 A few Spanish, Hardtails, lots of Ladyfish

Friday: water temp 81.1 – 82.8 Lots of Ladyfish, a few Hardtails and small Spanish Mackerel, no bait, storm moved through about 11:00am with sustained 46mph wind and gusts to 72.4mph
