It was a good week to catch up on organizing and cleaning your tackle. Anglers spent hours waiting for a bite that almost never came. We tried everything we had including fresh Ghost Shrimp, live and dead Shrimp, Sand Fleas and chunks of Blue Crab to no avail. The water was dingy but should not have been enough to stop a bite. Water temps were higher than typical and continued to rise as the week progressed. However, Mother Nature has a reality check on the way as a front is forecast to hit this coming weekend. By Tuesday, we are looking at a high of 49 and a low of 31. This will be quite a shock to us and our water temps.
The only catch reports I had were Casey’s 28 inch Red Drum, a few small Spanish Mackerel and a lone Pompano that Carlos decked Friday.
